SM Steel was designated as Korea’s first stainless service center by POSCO in 1994. It has led the stainless steel industry for 26 years,
delivering stable products and accurate services to customers based on the excellent quality produced by cutting-edge equipment using materials provided by POSCO.
Primary steel types include 300 and 400 stainless steel and duplex. SM Steel supplies various steel products according to the demand of each customer.
HR Hot-Rolled Stainless Steel
HR stainless steel is a product annealed and pickled by hot-rolling semi-finished products (slab, billet) heated to 1,200ºC.
This steel is used for application that require high corrosion resistance especially in tanks, plant equipment, stainless steel pipes, general industrial equipment, and machines.
CR Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel
CR stainless steel is a product annealed and pickled by cold-rolling hot-rolled coils (600ºC – 800ºC) at room temperature.
Different kinds of surface products can be produced according to the secondary surface processing. With its beautiful surface, this steel is widely used for exteriors, processed products, tanks related to food, and machine structures.
