SM Steel (CEO Kim Ki-ho), a
manufacturer specializing in stainless steel plate, will open a logistics center
exclusively for stainless steel plate in Sihwa MTV area on March 2nd.
Since the completion of the Gunsan plant in June 2020, SM Steel has newly launched
its product brand "SuPer Plate" and has been expanding the horizon of
the domestic stainless steel plate market,
including the delivery
of 3,550mm ultra-wide plate.
SM STEEL opened the "Busan Plate Logistics Center" in early February last year at
the steel distribution complex in Sasang-gu, Busan. It has been well received by
customers operating about 700 tons of STS plates in stock at all times,
allowing them to purchase domestic products immediately when needed.
SM STEEL's plans to relieve
capital and inventory burdens for customers in Sihwa and Gyeongin area through stable
stock operation of various size and grade products in Sihwa Plate Logistics Center, which will also ensure fast
delivery times for Sihwa and Gyeongin customers. The main plate stock
size is 304/304L grade,
12 ~ 60T x 1524/2000 x 3048/6096/6000 and will operate approximately 700 tons
of stock, including some 316L grade.
Jeong Jin-yong, Head of SM STEEL's Plate Sales Division, said, "SM STEEL’s STS plate business
will be operated on two main pillars: the Sihwa Plate Logistics Center and the
Busan Plate
Logistics Center." In addition, SM STEEL will commence integrated stock management system with
existing inventory in Cheonan, Gwangju, and Daegu offices to respond to the
diverse needs of local customers," he said.

for customers in Sihwa and Gyeongin areas.
